Wholesalers General Liability Protection

General Liability Protection is your shield against a legal system that continuously finds new liabilities for which your business must pay. Whether a libelous claim arises from your premises or operations... WIP® has you covered. Should products which you sell become a source of liability... WIP® has you covered. Your fire legal liability to a landlord or property owner is covered if you rent, lease or occupy facilities which are damaged by fire. And there is protection from a list of other conditions which may arise... WIP® has you covered.

As the courts continue to determine different ways a business may be liable-and how much that liability should cost-your insurance must evolve to meet changing legal trends. This plan’s comprehensive general liability protection combines various liability coverages. It includes general liability, which protects you against claims that arise from your premises or your operations. It includes products liability, which protects you against claims involving products you have sold. It includes your fire legal liability to a landlord or property owner if offices or warehouses you rent, lease or occupy are damaged. And it protects you in a host of other circumstances.

Comprehensive General Liability: This coverage protects your business if you are found to be negligent regarding your premises or operations. It also pays your attorney’s fees and other related expenses.

Products Liability: This coverage is provided to protect you and your business against bodily injury and property damage claims arising from products you have sold. Attorney’s fees and other defense costs are included.

Fire Damage Legal Liability: You may be legally liable if property you rent, lease or occupy is damaged. You may also be liable if personal property of others in your care, custody and control is damaged. Most policies cover only liability as a result of fire.

Personal Injury: Even the most sensitive organization can be held accountable for liability or slander. That’s why the plan includes protection for acts involving libel, slander, right of privacy, wrongful eviction, and other personal injuries.

Advertising Injury: The plan protects you from liability arising out of advertising activities or infringement of trademarked or copyrighted material.

Mental Anguish: Bodily injury under the plan includes damages for mental anguish arising from bodily injury. Many policies do not include mental anguish.

Medical Payment: This feature covers the medical expenses for minor injuries on your premises without the need for determining fault. Limits are $5,000 per occurrence. Higher limits are available.

New Businesses: Many policies cover businesses you acquire or start for 90 days. The WIP® covers these new businesses for 180 days.

Your Obligations: Many things happen in your business you never know about. An employee can hurt someone or damage something and never tell you. Most policies will not cover your business against a claim unless it is reported promptly. The WIP® requires that a claim be reported when an officer or owner becomes aware of the claim or suit.

If You Forget: Through action or inaction, people sometimes unintentionally fail to identify all of their operations and exposures when they apply for coverage. Your coverage will not be denied because of this unintentional failure.
