Umbrella Insurance
Umbrella insurance helps cover losses above the limit of most underlying policies, such as general liability, commercial auto, and the employers liability portion of your Workers Compensation policy is all provided in an umbrella insurance policy. While it applies to losses over the dollar amount in the underlying policies, terms of coverage are sometimes broader than those of underlying policies and therefore provides protection for events not covered in the underlying policies.
Usually, umbrella insurance policies are purchased by those who have large assets, to ensure the protection of those assets over and above other possible catastrophic claims. But remember the saying that "You don't have to be a millionaire, to be sued like one" applies equally well to businesses. So many of our small business owner customers buy umbrella protection for as little as $500 for a $1,000,000 limit. Umbrella Liability Limits provide extra "sleep insurance" above your basic policies. We can arrange limits for your company of $5,000,000, $10,000,000, $20,000,000 or even more!
