The moderator for the panel was Wendall Braniff, JD, MS, Director of the UHD Insurance & Risk Managment Center.
Dr. Wendall Braniff joined the UHD faculty in July 2009 as Director of the newly created Insurance and Risk Management Center. In Fall 2009, the first two insurance and risk management courses were offered in the IRM major of the College of Business’ BBA degree program. The program will produce its first graduates in May 2011.
The UHD IRM program is unique in the nation owing to its strong connections with the state and Houston insurance and risk management industry. Because of this industry support and partnership, numerous students have completed internships within the industry, a requirement for the major, many of which have resulted in permanent career positions for students and graduates of the program. The IRM industry has a very strong presence in the state and the Houston business community, and many opportunities for career position exist for UHD IRM majors and minors.
Cravens Warren was honored to be a featured guest & participant at this UHD event, and looks forward to opportunties to support the program further in the future.
