First Named Insured in Commercial Insurance Policies
Commercial insurance policies include a provision of specific rights & responsibilities of the "first named insured" of a policy. This person/ entity has specific rights that no other policy owner has. These include the ability to cancel or change a policy.
If you own a business but you are not the individual who handles insurance management within your office, it is important that we are aware of who is authorized to make changes to your insurance program.
Typically authority is well established, but there are certain times & situations where it would help us better serve our clients, if we knew who most directions are coming from. Be sure to inform your agent who it is OK to take change requests from. This will help us better serve you, our valued client.
